Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an Electronic Assembler in Goleta, CA. The role is a 2nd shift position (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) with training on 1st shift for 8–12 weeks before transitioning to 2nd shift.

The successful candidate will hand solder electronic parts, assemble wire harnesses, verify kits, and support engineering with assembly documentation while collaborating with Test, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in electronic or related industry.
  • High school education or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Hand soldering of electronic parts (SMT, through-hole, micro-soldering).
  • Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
  • Verify kits are complete and correct.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering with assembly documentation.
  • Verify accuracy of finished assemblies for quality output.
  • Work with Test Team, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
  • Process assembly using materials (adhesives, coatings, epoxies).
  • Mechanical assembly using hand tools.

Job Description

This position will be a 2nd Shift position with hours from 03:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This position will train for the first 8-12 weeks on the 1st Shift before transitioning to the 2nd shift.

  • Hand soldering of electronic parts including, surface mount soldering, through-hole soldering micro-soldering, etc.
  • Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies
  • Verify kits are complete and correct
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering in the creation, development and revision of assembly documentation
  • Verify accuracy of finished assemblies to provide quality output
  • Work closely with Test Team, Manufacturing, and Engineering departments
  • Process assembly using a variety of materials (adhesives, coatings, epoxies, etc)
  • Mechanical assembly using a variety of hand tools (wrenches, drivers, sockets, etc)
Education, Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Electronic, or related industry
  • High school education or equivalent
Knowledge And Experience
  • Hand soldering
  • Ability to work from written instructions, wiring diagrams, etc.
  • Assembly of electro-mechanical components with related tooling
  • Harness wiring
  • ISO policies and procedures
  • ESD procedures
  • Manual dexterity, ability to work with small parts for extended amounts of time
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, often for most of the workday
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, often up to 50 pounds, though the frequency of lifting heavier objects varies

Salary Range

$34,300.00-$45,700.000
