Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a skilled assembler for 2nd shift in Goleta to build FLIR camera products per docs. Training will occur on 1st shift for 8–12 weeks before transitioning to 2nd shift.

You will hand-solder electronic components, assemble harnesses, and verify kits while collaborating with Manufacturing, Test and Engineering teams to ensure quality output. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in electronics or related industry.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of ISO and ESD procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble FLIR camera products per manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform hand soldering of electronic parts (surface mount, through-hole, micro-soldering).
  • Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
  • Verify kits are complete and correct.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering in creating/revising assembly documentation.
  • Verify accuracy of finished assemblies for quality output.
  • Collaborate with Test, Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
  • Process assemblies using adhesives, coatings, epoxies, etc.
  • Mechanical assembly using hand tools.

Job Description

This position will be a 2nd Shift position with hours from 03:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This position will train for the first 8-12 weeks on the 1st Shift before transitioning to the 2nd shift.

  • Assemble FLIR camera products in accordance to Manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions, travelers, configuration logs, etc.)
  • Hand soldering of electronic parts including, surface mount soldering, through-hole soldering micro-soldering, etc.
  • Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies
  • Verify kits are complete and correct
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering in the creation, development and revision of assembly documentation
  • Verify accuracy of finished assemblies to provide quality output
  • Work closely with Test Team, Manufacturing, and Engineering departments
  • Process assembly using a variety of materials (adhesives, coatings, epoxies, etc)
  • Mechanical assembly using a variety of hand tools (wrenches, drivers, sockets, etc)
Education, Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Electronic, or related industry
  • High school education or equivalent
Knowledge and Experience
  • Hand soldering
  • Ability to work from written instructions, wiring diagrams, etc.
  • Assembly of electro-mechanical components with related tooling
  • Harness wiring
  • ISO policies and procedures
  • ESD procedures
  • Manual dexterity, ability to work with small parts for extended amounts of time
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, often for most of the workday
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, often up to 50 pounds, though the frequency of lifting heavier objects varies

Salary Range

Salary Range: $34,300.00-$45,700.000
