Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking an Assembler 2 for the 1st shift (5:00 am – 1:30 pm) in Terrell, TX. This role focuses on building doors and frames within the Fabrication Department, under the Production Supervisor, with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, reliability, and problem-solving skills, and is capable of reading drawings and using power tools in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience using power tools, machinery, and reading a tape measure (to 1/16”).
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and perform basic math.
• Effective multitasking and time management in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication with peers and management; willingness to cross-train.
• Safety-focused approach in everyday manufacturing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Perform general fabrication and assembly of doors using hand and power tools.
• Drill holes and prepare materials according to work orders, fabrication sheets, and schedules.
• Measure workpiece dimensions and conduct quality inspections to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure parts meet specifications by following prints, worksheets, and shop drawings while completing tasks with minimal supervision.

The Assembler role is focused on building doors and frames and reports to theProduction Supervisor.
