Job summary

Epiroc in Garland, TX is seeking an Assembler (Low Voltage Electrical Technician) to troubleshoot low voltage systems using wiring schematics, computer software, and diagnostic equipment. You will perform all duties related to schematics and low voltage electronics, following safety guidelines.

Work is onsite with a four-day schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week. Requires HS diploma and at least two years in a low-voltage role, with ability to read electrical

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years minimum in low-voltage electrician role.
  • Must have training in reading electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Trouble-shot low voltage systems utilizing wiring schematics, computer software, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Trouble-shot electrical to electronic interfaces.
  • Running conduit, pull wire, and make electrical connections per diagrams/schematics.
  • Assembly duties as required.
  • Report defective materials or unusual conditions.

Join Our Team as an Assembler (Low Voltage Electrical Technician) at Epiroc!

Trouble‑shoot low voltage systems with wiring schematics, computer software, and diagnostic equipment. Perform all duties related to schematics and Low Voltage Electrical and Electronics and other electrical duties. Follow all standard or accepted methods and procedures within company safety guidelines.

Work Type: Onsite
Shift Timings:

Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Employees work a four‑day schedule and are paid for 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Trouble‑shoot low voltage systems utilizing wiring schematics, computer software, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Trouble‑shoot electrical to electronic interfaces
  • Running conduit, pull wire, and make electrical connections in a professional manner using wiring diagrams and/or electrical schematics
  • Assembly duties as required
  • Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to immediate Supervisor
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations / guidelines
  • Work with Engineering and Vendors on new wiring requirements for Prototype units and systems
  • Work independently on wiring and programming engines and power pack systems
  • ECM programming
  • Be able to work with Programmable Motion Control cards (PCM cards)
  • Perform other duties as required or directed
Occasional, Infrequent
  • Complete appropriate paperwork for rejected parts
  • Return leftover parts back to Warehouse
  • Chase parts and fill in necessary paperwork
  • Train new hires
  • Document and diagram wiring when needed (example: Prototype units)
Knowledge/Education:
  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Two years minimum in low-voltage electrician role
  • Must have training in reading electrical schematics

Work environment

The work environment in the mining and construction industries presents unique and dynamic challenges not typically found in other professions. Office-based work

Duties are performed in a professional setting that may involve extended periods of sitting and frequent computer use, which can lead to eye strain or fatigue.
