Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking an Assembly Technician to coordinate the assembly of Mark V circuit-switchers, TR-II switches, and related components in a production environment.

You will work with blueprints, use torque wrenches and testing equipment, and handle components up to 100 lbs with assistance. A high school diploma or GED is required, with soldering experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of relays, contactors and circuit breakers.
• Experience using air impact tools and other hand tools.
• Ability to perform shop math and use measuring tools.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Knowledge of mechanical assembly operations.
• Prior manufacturing assembly experience.
• Soldering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Mark V circuit-switchers at multiple stations (sizes 6' x 10' x 10' to 15' x 15' x 15').
• Assemble TR-II switches (up to 5' x 1' x 1' to 11' x 1' x 1').
• Identify, transport, install, mount and bolt switch components (5 lbs to 100+ lbs with assistance).
• Perform mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdrivers and tape measures; electrical inspection with a test console.
• Use hand tools, power tools, gauges and overhead cranes for assembly.
