Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking an assembler to support our production operations in Palatine, IL. You will assemble Mark V, TR-II, ScadaMate, or Vista switches in a production setting, using mechanical skills, blueprints, and power tools to ensure quality and on‑time output.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following precise procedures. Respirator certification is required. Join a 100% employee‑owned company focused on growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in reading blueprints.
• Demonstrate skills to use air impact tools and other hand‑held tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and shop math.
• Manufacturing assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Mark V circuit-switchers at multiple stations.
• Assemble TR-II switches up to large sizes.
• Identify and position components; transport and mount parts.
• Perform mechanical and electrical inspections using tools and a test console.
• Operate material handling equipment and overhead cranes.
