Quanex in Chehalis, WA is seeking an Assembler to join our team. You will work with team members to cut and assemble door or window screen frames to changing specifications using measuring devices; shift from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and notify supervisor of issues.
• Visually inspect for defects or errors during the process.
• Verify size, color, and configuration according to labeling.
• Ensure adherence to standard work.
• Apply labels to frames upon completion.
• Rack frames for next step (screen rolling).
• Cross-train to other nearby positions.
• Punctual attendance for scheduled hours.

The Assembler is responsible for working cooperatively with team members to cut and assemble door or window screen frames to changing specifications, using a measuring device. This position is scheduled for 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM.

What Success Looks Like?

• Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notifies the supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues.


• Visually inspect for defects or errors throughout process.


• Verify size, color, customer, configuration (hardware), according to labeling system.


• Ensure standard work adherence.


• Apply labels to frame upon completion.


• Sequence into rack for next step (screen rolling).


• Cross training to ensure proficiency in neighboring positions.


• Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day.

Your Credentials:

• At least 6 months of production, assembly or related work experience preferred


• Ability to follow both written and verbal directions.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $23.40 per hour
