Job summary

Liberty Pumps is seeking a production assembler to correctly assemble and test pumps, systems, and related products. You will use hand tools, testers, and Bills of Materials in a team environment to meet customer expectations.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to operate electronic and pneumatic tools, and adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards. Emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and hand-tool experience.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical assemblies is preferred.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and BOM.

Responsibilities

  • Performs bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions, Bill of Materials, and best practices.
  • Demonstrates ability to use electronic and pneumatic tools to build product.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Quality Department per defined reject process.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to 6S standards.
  • Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required per PM requirements.
  • Operates both stationary and moving overhead cranes as necessary.
  • Operates fork truck or hand pallet jack as necessary.
  • Works at the directions of the Department Supervisor and Team Leads.
  • Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
  • Participates in Team meetings and projects.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Operates according to ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Follows safety guidelines, keeps area clean, reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor or Safety Rep.

Minimum Qualifications: Mechanical Aptitude
