Phillips Staffing is hiring a 1st Shift Assembler for a Liberty, SC manufacturer of marine and industrial transmissions. Responsibilities include following safety rules, assembling units from blueprints, maintaining calibration, and recording daily production data.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year in manufacturing/assembly, mechanical aptitude, caliper reading, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year in manufacturing/assembly experience preferred.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to read calipers.
• Basic computer skills required for data entry and record-keeping.

Responsabilités

• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and training requirements in the assembly area and facility.
• Transport components with a cart and position housing as needed.
• Follow work instructions and check blueprints for unit components and torque specs.
• Use appropriate tools and ensure tooling is calibrated and functioning; report any calibration or replacement needs.
• Mark torqued areas with designated color markers and record serials, shims, and runout data.
• Transport built units via overhead hoist to the test stand; assist in other departmental areas.
• Document scrap at end of shift and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Phillips Staffing is looking for a 1st Shift Assembler to join the team at an innovative manufacturer of marine and industrial transmissions in Liberty, SC!

Responsibilities

• Adheres and follows all safety policies, procedures, and training requirements in the assembly area and throughout facility.
• Safely use cart to transport components from shelves to workstation as needed.
• Housing needs to be placed and safely locked into position needed on bucks/cradle.
• Follow appropriate work instructions for the type of unit being built.
• Check blueprint for components needed to build unit and torque specifications.
• Appropriate tools located in your workstation must be used to build unit.
• Assembler is responsible for ensuring that all tooling located in workstation is up to date on calibration and that all tools are functioning properly and not damaged.
• Assembler is responsible to immediately report any tooling that is in need of calibration or that needs replacement to the department supervisor.
• All units need to be color marked on torqued areas with designated color marker issued to assembler.
• Record and initial the daily log serial number, shims and rolling torques that are used to build units, check runout on coupler.
• Safely remove unit build from bucks/cradle.
• Use overhead hoist located in your workstation to transport built unit to the cart for test stand.
• Assist in other areas of the department as needed.
• All scrap must be written and recorded at the end of shift and put on scrap/MRB table with scrap ticket.
• Keep clean and well- maintained workspace throughout the shift.

Shift Schedule

1st Shift, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Thursday, Overtime on Fridays & Saturdays

Pay Rate

$16.50/Hour, Increases available after 30, 60, & 90 day performance evaluations
