Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Assembler IV for the 1st shift at our El Paso, TX location. The role involves wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting subassemblies in electrical control equipment and switchboards.

You will prepare units for testing and inspection, following detailed wiring schematics and instructions. You will use wire strippers, crimpers, cutters, drills and pliers to complete assemblies, maintain 5-S standards, and handle 35 lb lifting with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 1 year of electrical wiring experience or a related technical degree or Connectors I & II certifications with 1 year as An Assembler III.
• Wiring and assembly skills required for electrical control equipment and switchboards.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs and work with appropriate safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, fit, and mount subassemblies and switchboard components.
• Perform tests, prepare for test and final inspection according to schematics.
• Follow instructions and drawings using hand and power tools.
• Maintain 5-S housekeeping and safety standards in the work area.
• Work with team and communicate parts shortages or issues promptly.
• Overtime may be required and operate with minimal supervision.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembler IV (1st Shift) at our El Paso, TX location! The core scheduled hours are 7:00 am - 3:45 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times/ The rate for this position is $20.66 per hour. Th is position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The Assembler IV is responsible for a wide range of skills including wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly or wiring required for test preparation and final inspection. Perform all assignments within the acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping with assigned functions.Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, and wiring schematics.Use various tools, such as wire strippers, crimpers, wire cutters, impact guns, drills, and pliers to assemble switchboards' electrical wiring.Handle materials following established procedures.Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar.Lift 35 lbs. with reasonable accommodation as required.Perform other functions and/or tasks as assignedFlexing into other functions of the businessQualifications:Required:Must meet ONE of the following qualifications:1 year of electrical wiring experience ORA completed technical degree in a related field ORConnectors I & II certifications AND 1 year of experience as an Assembler IIIEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
