Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will ensure correct parts and supplies are secured and maintained for the operation.

The role involves setting up work areas, following prescribed assembly instructions, and using hand tools to complete the process, while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • Basic math skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together per instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools to complete assembly.
  • Stacks finished products and may cover/label components as needed.
  • Keeps work area safe, clean and organized; ensures equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
  • Performs duties per safety and quality procedures, rules and standards.
  • Participates in safety and continuous improvement programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities
  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
  • No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
Hourly Pay

$17.00

  • pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living
Bonus/Incentive Pay

Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
