Job summary

Western Enterprises, a member of the Marmon Plumbing & Refrigeration Group, seeks an Assembly Operator in Westlake, OH. You will work on an assembly line, sometimes independently, and must follow production methods and safety rules. PPE must be worn at all times and daily/weekly/monthly PM tasks completed.

What You'll Do:
  • Work as a member of a group in an assembly line
  • Work individually
  • Properly wear PPE
  • Properly fill out Daily, Weekly, and Monthly P.M.
  • Report any nonconformity to line leads
  • Follow simple cleaning chores
  • Daily check calibration due dates
  • Comprehend and follow production & test methods
  • Pull parts as needed for assembly
  • Comprehend and follow production routes, bills of material and prints.
  • Operate hydraulic or manual presses and other simple machines in assembly process.
  • Understand and follow employee handbook.
  • Follow and maintain accuracy of all inventory procedures.
  • Understand and know where the Material Safety Data Sheets are located.
  • Follow all safety rules & requirements.
  • Fill out daily labor cards correctly and completely.
  • Observe working hour schedules (starting time, quitting, rest & clean up periods)
  • Able to cross trains as needed.
  • Maintain all surrounding areas for cleanliness, orderliness, and organization.
What You'll Need:

Knowledge of:

  • Basic Computer Knowledge
  • Able to work with small parts and tools.

Skills/Ability to:

  • Able to work standing for a long period of time
  • Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds, perform repetitive work.
  • Able to work with a team and cross train in different areas on the production line.
