Job summary

WILBERT INC in North Carolina is seeking entry-level General Labor/Machine Operator roles. You will assemble minor products and components at a workbench or conveyor line, perform routine machine operations, and maintain quality through inspections.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine assembly, packaging, labeling, and inspection of components according to customer requirements.
  • Operate and monitor presses/machines safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect parts visually and measure to meet specifications.
  • Notify supervisor of deviations and ensure proper labeling and packing of finished parts.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Assembles minor products or components with a small number of details within routine and highly repetitive assembly operations. Typically works at a workbench or on a conveyer line. Common tasks include checking, sorting, packaging, labeling, pasting, sniping, tying, or trimming either manually or by machine. Performs basic equipment adjustments, routine maintenance, and cleaning. May perform miscellaneous jobs such as moving assemblies/machines or cleaning floors. Typically has 0-2 years of experience and works under close supervision. Typical job titles include: General Labor, Machine Operator, Maker/Packer, Assembler and Line Operator.



  • Perform a variety of routine duties related to the molding/forming, inspecting, packaging and assembly of components in accordance with specified customer requirements.

  • Operate assigned press/machine(s) safely and efficiently.

  • Operates a variety of machines/equipment that may be used for assembly operations.

  • Assemble plastic products at a pace consistent with the speed of the machinery or equipment being used or at a standard volume.

  • Safely use fixtures and other tools needed for job task such as trimming.

  • Perform visual inspections of each part in order to ensure compliance with specified requirements

  • Perform required measurements to ensure compliance with specified requirements.

  • Inform supervisor or quality department of any deviations and/or product specification problems.

  • Pack and prepare finished assembled parts in appropriate containers and apply labels.

  • Provide suggestions regarding continuous improvement activities relative to production processes and product quality.

  • Observe all safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. This includes but is not limited to product area, cleaning of machine and general cleaning.
