Job summary

Staffmark is hiring an Assembler in Tulsa, OK. Earn $17.50 per hour with a 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, in a hands-on production environment.

You will assemble mechanical components, read drawings, and follow detailed work instructions to keep production running smoothly while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of assembly experience in oil & gas or heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with torque procedures, sealing methods, and precision tolerances is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies per blueprints and specifications.
• Interpret BOMs and torque specifications.
• Perform light semi-automatic machine operations such as grinding, sanding, drilling, and gasket cutting.
• Support pressure testing of assemblies per engineering specs and test methods.
• Ensure assemblies function as intended and meet quality requirements.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of assembly experience in an oil & gas or heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience working with high-pressure components, valves, fittings, or similar equipment preferred, but not required.
• Familiarity with torque procedures, sealing methods, and precision tolerance preferred, but not required.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing transactions and dealing with part numbers, quantities, locations, weights, etc.
• Knowledge of quality systems and safety standards applicable to oil & gas manufacturing.
• Ability to work cohesively with team members for training purposes and learning opportunities.

Job Duties

• Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to blueprints, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and torque specifications.
• Performs light semi-automatic machine operations such as grinding, sanding, drilling, and gasket cutting.
• Assists in the pressure testing (pneumatic or hydrostatic) of some assemblies in accordance with prescribed engineering specifications and test methods.
• Builds final assemblies in conformance with assembly drawings, specifications, procedures, work instructions, and verbal instructions.
• Ensures that all products assembled operate in the manner intended by the assembly drawings, specifications, and instructions.
• Assist in the pressure testing of some assemblies in accordance with prescribed engineering specifications and test methods.
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
