Job summary

Hillenbrand seeks an assembly specialist for Shift 1 in the United States of America, located in New York, Town of Sidney, to assemble industrial food equipment such as mixers, sandwiching equipment, and product handling systems. The role requires dexterity and the use of various hand tools to fit parts to moderate tolerances.

You will work with established procedures to ensure quality, maintain non-repetitive workflows, and may make small procedural decisions within guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Adjust, trim, and fit parts to moderately close tolerances using hand tools and careful measurement.
• Perform tasks with limited repetitive motion and adhere to established guidelines.
• Make minor procedural decisions in fitting and adjusting parts within approved procedures.

• Assemble industrial food equipment such as mixers, sandwiching equipment, mixes & batter equipment, or product handling equipment
• Assembly procedures may involve adjusting, trimming, and fitting parts to moderately close tolerances, working with parts or components which are difficult to handle and other skills which require good dexterity and facility in the use of a variety of hand tools.
• Work is not typically highly repetitive, but the cycle of repetition may be short enough to allow the development of some habit patterns.
• May make minor procedural decisions in fitting and adjusting of parts, etc., but always within established guidelines.
