Job summary

Nesco Resource is seeking a Production Assembly and Packaging Associate in Saint Louis, MO. This onsite role involves building finished goods from components, inspecting for quality, and labeling for shipment.

Responsibilities include reviewing instructions and BOMs, assembling per specs, testing units, and escalating issues as needed. Training and safety are emphasized, with emphasis on teamwork and accuracy.

  • Participate in warm‑up exercises to reduce risk of repetitive injuries.
  • Keep work area clean, orderly, and compliant with safety rules.
  • Communicate with supervisors and quality personnel effectively.
  • Perform additional production‑related responsibilities as assigned.

Position Overview

The Production Assembly and Packaging Associate builds finished goods from prepared components, hardware, and partially completed assemblies. This position also inspects, packages, and identifies completed units according to production documentation, customer requirements, and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Review job travelers, production instructions, bills of materials, and related documentation before beginning work.

Notify the appropriate production leader or quality representative when documentation conflicts, missing components, assembly concerns, or packaging issues are identified.

Assemble manufactured products using components, subassemblies, and fasteners in accordance with established specifications.

Examine materials and components during the production process and identify items that do not meet quality expectations.

Test and visually inspect completed units for correct operation, cleanliness, workmanship, and possible defects.

Correct assembly or quality issues when authorized and **escalate** concerns requiring additional review.

Make ongoing quality decisions to ensure only acceptable products are approved for shipment.

Complete the final quality review before finished units are packed and released to the customer.

Package completed products in the designated containers and apply accurate labels to prevent shipping or product-identification errors.

Help orient and train newly assigned employees on relevant processes and expectations.

Participate in hand and body stretching or warm‑up activities at the beginning of the shift and following meal and rest breaks to reduce the risk of repetitive‑motion injuries.

Keep the assigned work area orderly, clean, and compliant with workplace safety requirements.

Communicate and work effectively with supervisors, quality personnel, and other team members.

Perform additional production‑related responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Ability to communicate clearly and work cooperatively with others.

Remain standing for extended periods during the workday.

Frequently use the hands and fingers to handle components, tools, controls, and packaged goods.

Frequently perform activities involving balance or climbing.

Occasionally walk, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Communicate verbally and hear workplace instructions or warnings.

Regularly lift, carry, or reposition materials and products weighing up to 50 pounds.
