• Measure, compare and make shop calculations to ensure conformance with engineering or sales specifications using tools and equipment on the shop floor.
• Perform material fit ups and layouts with steel.
• Position and secure workpieces using hand tools and forklifts.
• Inspect products and equipment for defects or malfunctions.
• Sand, grind, and break out steel as needed.
• Assemble steel panels with bolt-together construction.
• Handle materials and operate a forklift as required.

Core Responsibility:

• Measure, compare and make simple or complex shop calculations necessary to ensure products are in conformance with engineering or sales specifications using materials, methods and equipment in the shop (included but not limited to sanders, drills, air, and electric hand cutting tools)
• Material fit ups and layouts with steel
• Position and secure workpieces using hand tools, forklifts, etc.
• Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
• Sanding/grinding
• Breaking out steel
• Steel panel assembly with bolt together construction
• Material handling/forklift
