Job summary

Staffmark in San Diego, CA is hiring an Assembler for the 2nd shift from 2:20 PM to 10:50 PM (Fri 1:20 PM – 9:50 PM). The position offers $17.75 per hour and uses hand tools, basic assembly, and production procedures.

You will read instructions, assemble parts, inspect workmanship, and keep areas clean and safe while meeting daily production goals.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months of mechanical assembly, and ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Put together parts and products using hand tools and small power tools.

  • Check materials for problems and tell a supervisor if something is damaged or looks wrong.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Count parts, do basic math, and complete work on schedule while following safety rules.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to lift components, materials, or finished products weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
  • Ability to maintain focus while performing detailed assembly work in a manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

As a Assembler you will assemble products, components, or equipment using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and assembly instructions. You will inspect completed assemblies, verify measurements, identify quality concerns, maintain organized work areas, and support production goals while following established manufacturing procedures and workplace safety standards.

The Assembler plays an important role in manufacturing by assembling products that meet engineering specifications and customer expectations. This position requires technical ability, strong work habits, and careful attention to assembly quality.
