Job summary

Aerotek is hiring an Assembler in Orlando, FL for a contract-to-hire role paying $18–$19 per hour.

Work hours are 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime potential. You will assemble aviation and military equipment, read blueprints, and use hand and power tools to build and wire components in a large, air-conditioned facility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints/schematics.
• Ability to use hand and power tools on assembly work.
• Required electrical experience in assembly contexts.

Responsibilities

• Assemble plane de-icers, aircraft tow vehicles, cargo loading systems, airport gate equipment, and military equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and assemble mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Use wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, files, grinders for mechanical connections with nuts/bolts/screws.
• Make electrical connections using pre-fabricated harnesses, cutters, wire strippers, and crimping tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Perform self-auditing and inspection of assembled work using drawings and checklists.

Job Description

Join our team as an Assembler where you will contribute to the production of essential equipment for aviation and military applications. You will have the opportunity to work in one of three departments: Loader, Deicer, or Traitor, with the potential for cross-training across all areas. This role involves assembling plane de-icers, aircraft tow vehicles, cargo loading systems, airport gate equipment, and military equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and assemble mechanical and electrical equipment using hand and power tools provided by our team. Your expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics will be essential in ensuring the quality and precision of assembled products.

Responsibilities

• Assemble plane de-icers, aircraft tow vehicles, cargo loading systems, airport gate equipment, and military equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and assemble mechanical and electrical equipment.

• Hydraulic experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in an industrial, large setting manufacturing environment that is air-conditioned. You may occasionally be required to go outside to the yard for materials, which is not air-conditioned.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
