Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an assembler for Teledyne Microwave Solutions in Mountain View, CA. You will join a team that designs and manufactures advanced RF and microwave components for aerospace, defense, and communications, performing testing, assembly, and inspection.

The role requires strong manual dexterity, experience with thin-film assembly, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel, with U.S. Person status.

Qualifications

  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to work under a microscope.
  • Knowledge of thin-film assembly processes and MIC equipment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Vocational or technical certificate in a related field and 5+ years of experience.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • U.S. Person status (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).

Responsibilities

  • Test, assemble and disassemble mechanical assemblies using standard and specialty tools.
  • Perform potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts.
  • Adjust or trim materials to meet specified electrical or dimensional specs.
  • Troubleshoot and replace defects in finished products.
  • Rework and repair defective units rejected by inspection.
  • Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals to meet cleanliness specs.
  • Ensure quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Record information on production records and logs.

What you’ll do
  • Perform testing, assembly and disassembly of mechanical assemblies using both traditional and non-traditional tooling such as multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power supply, function generator, screwdriver, torque wrench, standard wrench, etc.
  • May perform other general assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
  • Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
  • Troubleshoot and replace defects of finished products.
  • Rework and repair defective units rejected by inspection or test personnel.
  • Follow safety procedures in the use and handling of flammable and hazardous chemicals required to meet all cleanliness specifications.
  • Ensure that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Record information on production records, logs and other report forms.

Salary Range:

$44,500.00-$59,300.000
