Job summary

MiTek Industries, Inc. is seeking an assembler in Missouri to build machines and sub-assemblies by following blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.

You will rely on lean and 5S practices and ensure parts fit precisely while maintaining a clean work area. Qualified candidates have a high school education, 1–2 years in manufacturing, strong measurement and math skills, ability to read prints, and proficiency with basic hand tools and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required.
  • 1-2 Years Experience in manufacturing or job shop environment preferred.
  • Able to perform mathematical skills such as calculating proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and able to apply concepts of basic geometry.
  • Ability to read and understand prints and schematics.
  • Ability to use small hand-power tools, including reading a tape measure with 1/32-inch increments.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Applications.

Responsibilities

A Brief Overview The Assembler will be responsible to assemble machines, equipment, and their sub-assemblies using Lean and 5S methodologies and by following blueprints, schematics, and other work instructions and other written and verbal specifications.

This is a physical position that requires the individual to be able to: stand, walk and carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull, climb, walk up stairs and crouch. This position requires the individual to be able to communicate through speaking and hearing.
