Job summary

Permobil has a full-time 1st shift assembler position in Lebanon, TN. The role involves assembling wheelchair components using hand tools and machinery, following blueprints, and meeting production targets.

Responsibilities

Your Role in Our Mission

• As a member of the operations team the assembler will be responsible for executing tactical tasks in a assembly environment to ensure that the organization meets quality and lead time expectations. The assembler will be part of a team that’s committed to continuously driving improvements and meeting organizational goals.
• Responsible for assembling and fabricating various components, parts and wheelchair products. The assembler will interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics to perform the necessary tasks associated with manual wheelchair manufacturing.
• Using hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble components and products.
• Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
• Perform tactical tasks required to takt time pace.
• Ensure proper handling of components and materials.
• Adhere to production schedules and deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve the assembly process.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Identify and resolve any issues or defects in the assembly process.
• Responsible for inspecting and testing finished products.
• Responsible for maintaining and cleaning their tools, equipment, and work area.
• Meet production targets and deadlines.
• Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action.
• Follow directions, procedures, and instructions for all work assignments.
• Work independently and with others in a team environment while maintaining professionalism.

What You’ll Bring

Pay Transparency

The expected pay range for this role is $18.00 – $20.00 per hour . Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
