Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Mechanical Assembler in Lafayette, IN for a contract-to-hire role. You will assemble large diesel and natural gas engines using blueprints and work instructions, and use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and torque equipment.

The position requires reading drawings, schematics, and SOPs, performing basic troubleshooting, operating cranes and hoists safely, and documenting work progress in computer systems as part of a quality-focused team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and torque equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills for documenting work.
• Ability to pass written and hands-on assessments during training.
• Steel-toe or composite-toe shoes required.

Mechanical Assembler- Pay up to 22.09/hr- IN.

Location: Lafayette, IN

Pay: $21.34/hr- $22.09/hr

Shift: 1st- 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM

2nd- 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM

3rd- 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble large diesel and natural gas engines using blueprints and work instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and torque equipment.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.34 - $22.09/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
