Tramec Sloan – TS Iola Division in Iola, Kansas is seeking an assembler to join the manufacturing team. The role involves assembling components into a complete product on workstation or line setups in a fast-paced environment.

The position includes a Monday–Thursday shift from 6:00am to 4:30pm with potential variation by production needs. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, paid vacation, 401(k), and opportunities for training and growth within the plant.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily preventative maintenance.
• Perform a variety of highly repetitive hand operations to assemble components or units where procedures are clearly established and tolerances are maintained.
• Perform mechanized assembly operations requiring the use of hand or power equipment.
• Perform final assembly and in-process quality inspection of the end product.
• Demonstrate ability to operate any and all machines in the department at specified rates.
• Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts.
• Work in accordance with the Quality System and ensure products meet customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area using the 5S process and safety policies.

Position Summary:

The assembler is responsible for performing workstation or line-assembly operations to assemble components into a complete product.

Shift:

Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm but shift could vary based on production needs.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform daily preventative maintenance.

Requirements

• High School diploma /GED or equivalent experience, and minimum of 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic reading, math skills and ability to follow instructions.

Physical Requirements:

• Walking, sitting, and standing.
• Reading, and keyboarding.
• Stooping, twisting, reaching, and climbing.
• Lifting-up to 50 lbs.
