Qualifications

Job Description:

Performs simple repetitive mechanical or electro-mechanical sub-assembly work, following verbal instructions or established procedures. Requires simple adjusting and fitting of pre-finished parts using basic hand tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Performs assembly operations such as wire bonding, soldering, spot welding, staking, or epoxying.
  2. Assembles under a microscope.
  3. Hand solders pins, cables, components, sub-assemblies, and units.
  4. Operates ultrasonic welding equipment.
  5. Attaches various ICs, transistors, resistors, or thermistors to PC boards.
  6. Performs oil fill operations.
  7. Conducts tests on final units.
  8. Participates in life testing programs using a computer.
  9. Provides training or instruction to coworkers as needed.
  10. May operate turning-center-assisted TIG welding according to established programs.
  11. Maintains a clean and safe work area and follows safety regulations.
  12. May rotate among different workstations.
  13. Meets or exceeds departmental targets set by supervisors.
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and company policies.
  • Teamwork and positive attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills.

Education:

High school diploma or GED minimum.

Physical Demands:

Requires good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination. Work may involve walking or standing, performed at various locations within the department. Must be able to lift 5 to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.

Employees must be able to use hands for handling and feeling, reach with arms, and communicate verbally and audibly. Vision requirements include close, color, peripheral, and depth perception, with the ability to focus.
