Job summary

PSG, a Dover company, located in California, seeks a hard-working assembler to perform value-adding pump assembly tasks including kitting, sub-assembly, testing, boxing and palletizing.

The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, learning ability, and flexibility to work extended hours. Experience with air/hand tools and packaging is a plus; overtimesh may be required as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform all router steps to complete pump builds (kitting, sub-assembly, boxing).
• Follow standard work in production to meet design specs and QA procedures.
• Perform TPM on tools and equipment.
• Perform hydro-test and capture certificate.
• Ensure duties meet policies, safety and OH&S standards.
• Record production logs and report to Supervisor daily.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in Oracle (work orders/move orders).
• Complete priorities set by lead and supervisor for the day.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by department lead.
• Commit to safety and continuous improvement; practice lean manufacturing.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; overtime as required.

Job description

The assembler incumbent performs value adding processes in the assembly department for pump builds. Complete final assembly of product consisting of tasks such as kitting, assembly, testing of finish goods, and final packaging including but not limited to Boxing and Palletizing.

Education

High school or equivalent preferred

Experience

• No product assembly experience required; ability to learn
• Experience using air and hand tools
• Mechanically inclined
• Assembly or production experience a plus
• Packaging and Palletizing in Production experience a plus

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform all router steps on the work order required to complete a pump build which includes but is not limited to kitting, sub-assembly, and boxing of pump
• Follow standard work in the production cell to conform to product design specifications and comply with all quality assurance procedures
• Perform TPM (total preventative maintenance) on department tools and equipment
• Perform Hydro-test on required work order and capture certificate
• Ensures duties performed meet company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
• Capture production log and report to Supervisor and Lead daily
• Maintain inventory accuracies by transacting work order and move orders properly and completely in Oracle
• Responsible for completing priorities set forth by the lead and supervisor for the day
• Must comply with the Company’s policies and procedures
• Performs all duties as assigned by the department lead to support production
• Must demonstrate commitment to safety & continual improvement of OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) performance, registered standards, company policy, integrity, ethics, and legal compliance
• Practice lean manufacturing and continuous improvement in the daily work
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company procedures and rules
• Work overtime as required
• All other duties assigned
