Job summary

Jobtailor in Fort Walton Beach, FL seeks an entry-level assembler to produce quality mechanical, harness, cable and PCB sub-assemblies in a fast-paced production setting, reading models and drawings to guide assembly.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, be able to use torque tools, perform pull-tests and follow safety procedures, with training provided for production tools and routers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform entry-level assembly functions including prep, mechanical, harness, cable, PCB sub-assemblies, spray application, and inspection.
  • Work from models/drawings within Production and assemble multiple units; install hardware such as screws, washers, and nuts.
  • Perform pull-tests and verify tooling; use torque tools.
  • Access production tools, routers, parts lists, and work instructions; perform wire preparation, auto bonding, and sleeving.

Job description

  • Produce quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget
  • Follow written work instructions and maintain a safe work environment
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment
  • Participate in LEAN Events, “Six S” activities, and action teams
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the organization’s mission, values, and culture
  • Perform entry-level assembly functions including prep, mechanical, harness, cable, printed circuit board sub-assemblies, spray application, and inspection
  • Work from models and/or drawings within Production
  • Perform simple assemblies and install hardware such as screws, washers, and nuts
  • Perform pull-tests and verify tooling
  • Use torque tools and interpret and assemble multiple units in department
  • Perform basic troubleshooting
  • Access production tools, routers, parts lists, and work instructions
  • Perform wire preparation, auto bonding, and sleeving
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to follow written work instructions
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety procedures governing materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)
  • Ability to properly use required PPE
