Job summary

Job description

PDS Tech Commercial Inc, is seeking candidates for an Assembler position in Clearwater, FL for our client Honeywell.

Job Title: Assembler

Job Type: Full time; Consultant to Perm

Pay Rate: $22.00

Schedule: 1st Shift 6 am - 2:30 pm Monday - Friday

Role Summary

As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling fabricated parts at floor stations, testing and calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Your role will involve using hand tools and power tools to assemble units, identifying units that fail tests or tolerance levels, and making necessary repairs.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components, wiring, and hardware into sub-assemblies and final products in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and written instructions.
• Perform soldering, wiring, crimping, and mechanical assembly tasks using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with IPC/J-STD and company standards. Identify and report nonconformances or defects to supervision and assist in corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records as required.
• Follow established ESD, FOD, and safety protocols in all assembly operations. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

Required: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics assembly preferred. 2+ years of experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly, preferably in a defense or aerospace environment.

• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or equivalent soldering/assembly standards (certification a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and written work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance if required.

Special Considerations

• Lifting generally in the 25 lbs. range with minimal repetitions.
• Minimal exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks.

Pay Details

$22.00 per hour
