Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Assembler Level 2 in Lansdale, PA, on-site. You will assemble, modify, rework, and repair electrical components, working from schematics and process sheets to ensure quality and reliability for mission-critical timelines.

Responsibilities include inline rework, producibility verification, and cross-training across assembly roles. Must be able to work under a microscope for long shifts and obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some experience working as an electronic assembler.
  • Able to interpret print and parts list, process sheets/route cards and technical drawing packages (ECOs).
  • Able to use hand tools (tweezers, scalpels).
  • Able to work under a microscope for a minimum of 9 hours a day.
  • Able to work with components as small as 5 mil square.
  • Able to use measurement tools such as scales, calibrated eyepieces and calipers.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Job description

As an Assembler Level 2 here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in assembling, modifying, reworking, and repairing electrical components and modules with precision and quality. You will work closely with technical documentation and use specialized tools to ensure every build meets exacting standards, supporting production goals and mission‑critical timelines.

You will report directly to our ISC Operations Manager and you’ll work out of our Lansdale, PA location on an On‑site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the quality and reliability of Honeywell Aerospace’s electronic products by ensuring precise assembly and validation of components, contributing to the overall success of production and product excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble, modify, rework, and repair electrical components, subassemblies, and moderately complex modules using schematic diagrams, process sheets, and technical drawings.
  • Ensure every build meets exacting standards by performing rework when needed to guarantee quality and reliability.
  • Verify producibility during initial assembly to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Perform tasks from lower‑level assembler roles and cross‑train across other assembly positions to support team flexibility.
  • Execute manual die‑attach using epoxy and solder to place components as small as 10x10 mils while working under a microscope.
  • Take on additional duties as needed to meet production goals and support mission‑critical timelines.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some experience working as an electronic assembler.
  • Able to interpret and work with print and parts list, process sheets/route cards and technical drawing packages (i.e., ECO’s).
  • Able to use hand tools (tweezers, scalpels).
  • Able to work under a microscope for a minimum of 9 hours a day.
  • Able to work with components which are at a minimum of 5 mil square.
  • Able to use measurement tools and devices such as scales, calibrated eyepieces and calipers.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

  • Prior knowledge of wire bonding operations using 0007, .001, .0005 thick X 2 through 25 mil wide gold wire and ribbons to capacitors, diodes, IC’s and transistors, using MEI and Westbond ball and wedge bonders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
