Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembly I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a manufacturing setting.

You will set up, fit, and inspect parts, operate hand tools, record production data, and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Complete work area setup.
• Fit parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operate hand tools to complete the assembly process.
• Stack completed products per established procedures and, if required, cover, label and band components finished product.
• Ensure work area is safe, clean and organized and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and report problems or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment; maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Perform duties in line with safety and quality procedures, rules and standards.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
