Job summary

Shape Technologies Group in Baxter Springs, Kansas is seeking dependable assemblers for 1st shift to build valves, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and completed units according to specifications.

You will read blueprints, use hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, and work with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure quality and maintain records. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with full benefits, tuition reimbursement, and quarterly bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing or assembly is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble waterjet components (valves, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, completed units) per specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Use hand and power tools, torque equipment, and measuring devices.
• Inspect and test assemblies for quality and function; report issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble waterjet components, including valves, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and completed units according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, and measuring devices to complete assemblies.
• Inspect and test completed assemblies to verify quality and functionality.
• Identify and report quality concerns or assembly issues.
• Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing goals.
• Maintain accurate assembly and production records.
• Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or production experience preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions is a plus.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attendance and reliability.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods during the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Good vision, including depth perception and color differentiation.
• Ability to safely work with tools and manufacturing equipment.
