Job summary

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Mfg, seeks a 1st Shift Assembler in Abilene, KS. The role runs Monday–Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as needed. You will read prints, fasten parts by hand or with tools, and tend machines along the assembly line.

Candidates should be able to work at multiple stations, follow safety rules, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within a Lean Manufacturing culture.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to stay on-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player capable of working with others in a production setting.
• Ability to read prints and use a tape measure as required.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Follow and complete daily build schedule.
• Bolt, clip, screw, cement, or fasten parts using hand tools or power tools.
• Read prints and use a tape measure.
• Tend machines and use tools on the assembly line.
• Work at different work stations as production needs require.
• Work on line where tasks vary with different models.
• Monitor tasks and suggest quality improvements to supervisor.
• Follow safety regulations and wear PPE as required.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Assembler – 1st Shift – Abilene, KS Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Mfg, is seeking a 1st Shift Assembler for our Abilene West facility in Abilene, KS.

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., plus overtime on Fridays, as required.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Follow and complete daily build schedule.
• Bolt, clip, screw, cement, or otherwise fasten parts together by hand, or using hand tools or portable power tools.
• Read prints and use a tape measure as required.
• Tend machines and use tools, such as impact wrenches, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
• Work at different work stations as production needs require.
• Work on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line or at a fixed assembly station.
• Monitor assembly tasks and recommend quality improvement initiatives to the assembly/shipping manager.
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
