Qualifications

• Education: LPN graduate or surgical technologist program; non-traditional routes may be considered after review.
• Experience: prior healthcare experience (LPN or surgical assistant) preferred.
• Special Skills: ability to assist surgeons in the scrub role.
• Other: available within 30 minutes of hospital and willing to participate in on-call rotation.
• Certifications: BLS

Responsibilities

• Collaborates as a member of the Surgical Team and adheres to policies.
• Communicates pertinent information and protects patient confidentiality.
• Applies critical thinking and prioritizes tasks with guidance as needed.
• Functions under RN delegation to maintain sterile field integrity.
• Prepares OR rooms and instruments; opens items for cases.
• Assists with all other duties as assigned.
