Job summary

The role develops an externally focused candidate for the Store Manager position for a limited period and involves participation in opening and closing procedures, cash control, merchandising, and customer service leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Two or more years of leadership or managerial experience.
• Two or more years of experience in a retail grocery store strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising by facilitating staging, stocking and storage of merchandise; ensuring presentation per practices.
• Assist in inventory management and conducting inventories.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Open and close store operations.
• Ensure cash handling integrity and security practices.
• Maintain clean, safe store environment and conduct paperwork per guidelines.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
