Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in Decatur, AL to support the Store Manager in daily operations, inventory management, staffing, merchandising, and customer service leadership. This role functions as a successor in training for the Store Manager position and is for a limited period.

You will assist in recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, and cash handling while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of leadership/managerial experience preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in a retail grocery store preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling, deposits, and loss prevention.
• Ability to recruit, interview and staff.

Responsabilités

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising, staging, stocking and pricing per store direction.
• Assist in inventory management, damages, markdowns, scans, paperwork and safety checks.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Model company policies and procedures per handbook and SOPs.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensure proper cash handling and deposits to maintain financial integrity.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and safe environment for customers and employees.
• Operate the store in the manager’s absence when needed.
• Review operating statements to identify sales, labor, profitability, inventory turns and opportunities.
