Job summary

AMD is seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineering intern/co‑op to work with the QA team on both automated and manual testing. You will engage with development teams, learn the software test lifecycle, and contribute to defect triage and closure.

You will gain experience across Linux and Windows environments, test planning, and feature-area coverage for GPUs and related software. This is a hybrid onsite role located in the San Jose/Santa Clara area.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a US-based Bachelor's in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Knowledge of software quality analysis processes and methodologies.
• Familiarity with PC architecture and hardware/software debugging.
• Exposure to Linux/Windows environments and scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing automated and manual test plans and test cases across multiple test phases.
• Prioritize and manage multiple testing tasks and projects concurrently.
• Reproduce, triage, and drive defects to closure with development teams.
• Create test cases/plans for new features and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
• Contribute ideas to improve QA processes and efficiency.
