Job summary

AMD in San Jose, CA is seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineering intern/co-op to join our team and participate in different phases of the Software Test lifecycle in close collaboration with the development teams. You will work on automated and manual test plans, reproduce and triage defects, and help improve QA processes within a fast‑paced environment.

You are enrolled in a US university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a US-based university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
Strong interest in PC graphics technologies and QA testing across Linux/Windows environments.
Familiarity with Python, C++, Selenium, and test automation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing and executing automated and manual test plans and test cases.
Triaging, reproducing, and driving defects to closure in collaboration with development teams.
Create test cases for new features and platforms (e.g., Linux/Windows).
Help define metrics to measure QA process efficiency and quality.
