Job summary

AMD interns and co-ops are placed at the epicenter of the AI ecosystem, working alongside experts on QA strategies for both automated and manual testing across Linux and Windows.

You will develop test plans and cases for new features (dGPU/APU) and operating systems, while prioritizing multiple projects and triaging defects to closure. This role supports full‑time 40 hours/week, in hybrid or onsite structures during the term.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a US-based university in a bachelor’s or higher program (CS/CE or related).
• Knowledge of software quality analysis processes and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Selenium; exposure to Linux/Windows environments.
• Interest in PC gaming and latest graphics tech (APIs, VR/MR) helpful.
• Exposure to databases and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and complete automated and manual Test Plans and Test Cases with varied strategies (Functional, Negative, Regression).
• Prioritize and manage several concurrent testing projects and tasks.
• Reproduce, troubleshoot, triage defects, and drive them to closure.
• Create test cases for new features, products (dGPU/APU) and OS (Linux/Windows).
• Share ideas to improve current processes; participate in metrics collection.
