Job summary

Inn at Hastings Park in Lexington, MA, a Relais & Châteaux property, seeks a Rooms Division MIT to assist Front Office, Guest Experience, and Housekeeping in delivering exceptional service. You will help in daily operations and guest care, supporting Forbes standards and interdepartmental collaboration.

The role offers exposure to revenue forecasting, scheduling, and cross-department coordination, contributing to a smooth, guest-centric operation in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
• College coursework in related field is helpful.
• Computer knowledge/skills required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guests’ requests, problems, complaints and accidents at Front Desk or via reservations, comments, letters, or calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Develop employee morale and ensure training of Front Office personnel and Forbes standards.
• Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily, analyzing rate variance, monitoring credit, and observing daily house count.
• Attend daily and monthly Rooms Upselling/Merchandizing meetings.
• Prepare employee schedules according to business forecast, payroll budgets, and productivity requirements.
• Ensure logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain professional relationships with managers, employees and other departments.
