Qualifications

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Acquires knowledge and develops the necessary skills to become a qualified respiratory therapist - including attending lectures, participating in laboratory sessions, and studying the theory and practice of respiratory therapy.
• Observes and shadows licensed respiratory therapists in various clinical settings and gains firsthand experience on how to apply theoretical concepts to real-life patient care.
• Under the supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist, conducts patient assessments.
• Assists in developing and implementing respiratory care plans for patients.
• Learns how to monitor patients' responses to respiratory interventions and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and other relevant documentation.
