Job summary

Amphenol Industrial Operations invites a Process Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting our manufacturing and assembly processes for industrial products. You’ll learn how to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges, document and improve processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-technology environment.

Hours: Flexible (10-40 hours per week) Pay: $21/hour.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related discipline).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Self-motivated and eager to learn in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with documentation of manufacturing processes for components, connectors, cable assemblies, and harnesses.
• Learning core product knowledge from Process Engineers.
• Supporting documentation compliance with Quality System requirements, including helping with process validation.
• Creating and maintaining accurate work instructions under supervision for NPIs
• Collaborating with engineering services and internal teams to support departmental goals
• Observing and assisting in NPI builds for connectors, cable assemblies, or harnesses
• Conducting time studies and supporting the evaluation of time standards with Manufacturing and Assembly teams
• Contributing to project teams by supporting various design and process engineering tasks
• Developing organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills in a professional engineering setting
