Job summary

SelectOne is partnering with a manufacturing client in the Northtowns to recruit an Assistant Plant Manager. This role sits on the leadership team and serves as a succession candidate to progress into the Plant Manager role.

You will work alongside the Plant Manager, gaining exposure to production, people leadership, safety, quality, maintenance, scheduling, and continuous improvement to drive operating results.

Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing leadership on the shop floor.
• Ability to lead through supervisors and develop staff.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance and HR.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Plant Manager to oversee overall manufacturing performance.
• Develop understanding of all departments, processes, equipment, and staffing.
• Support day-to-day plant decision-making and cross-functional coordination.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, and employee development with supervisors.
• Support safety policies and ensure compliance.
• Assist with recruiting, training, and performance management.
• Act as leadership resource for supervisors and employees.
