Job summary

CELINE in New York is seeking a Merchandising Trainee to join the Merchandising Team, assisting with stock and sales analysis by store, market prep, and product assortment. Based in the New York Corporate Office, this 12-month contract requires 40 hours per week.

You will develop fashion retail analytics, support weekly reports, and help with merchandising communications, seasonal buys, and market prep while gaining hands-on experience in luxury retail.

Qualifications

• Must be an active student in the NYC area, either MBA degree or Undergraduate degree, preferably with a Business Management or Fashion major.
• 3-year minimum work or internship experience.
• Must be available M-F, 9-6pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining and running weekly sales reports; preparing sell-thru reports; compiling seasonal qualitative collection feedback.
• Support Merchandising team on ad-hoc analysis as needed.
• Prepare recaps on competitive landscape including competitors pricing, trends and market activities.
• Assist team during seasonal Buying Markets: support compilation of premarket analysis, maintain buy sheets, and perform ad-hoc analysis during market.
• Assist in transferring and consolidating product across the region; help following up on product deliveries.
• Support LG team in moving merchandise between stores for exotic caravans.
