Job summary

VSC Fire & Security in Greenville, South Carolina is seeking candidates for the position of Integrated Systems Technician Trainee. This entry‑level role supports installation, service and inspection of integrated systems under supervision.

You will gain hands‑on experience with fire alarms, access control, CCTV and related life‑safety systems while developing technical skills, passing background checks, and driving to job sites with a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret instructions and directives as assigned by supervisor.
• Effectively communicate relevant project or service information to supervisor.
• Complete work in a timely manner as outlined by supervisor.
• Effectively communicate with others – including co-workers, supervisors, and job site personnel.
• Occasional use of computers, phones, email, copier and/or other office technology.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Exercise a modest level of independent judgment in to perform assigned duties.
• Understand and operate industry specific tools to make sure a system is installed and serviced properly.
• Assist with the installation, service, and inspection of integrated systems under the guidance of a supervisor. This may include, but not limited to; fire alarm, fire suppression, access control, video surveillance, intercom, sound/security systems, and other life safety and integrated systems.
