VSC Fire & Security in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking candidates for the position of Integrated Systems Technician Trainee. The role assists in installing, servicing and inspecting integrated systems under supervision of a licensed technician.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.

• Reliable transportation, valid State Driver's License with acceptable driving record for use of company vehicle.
• Desirable: Experience in the construction or electrical industry.
• Desirable: Read and interpret electrical plans, drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret instructions and directives as assigned by supervisor.
• Effectively communicate relevant project or service information to supervisor.
• Complete work in a timely manner as outlined by supervisor.
• Communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and job site staff.
• Occasional use of computers, phones, email, copier and/or other office technology.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Exercise a modest level of independent judgment to perform assigned duties.
• Understand and operate industry-specific tools to ensure proper installation and servicing of systems.
• Assist with installation, service, and inspection of integrated systems under supervision, including fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intercom, life-safety, and related systems.
