Job summary

Pocatello/Chubbuck School District No. 25 seeks an Assistant Girls Basketball coach at Highland High School to lead and develop student-athletes in a competitive program.

Responsibilities include building a strong coaching staff, maintaining professional relationships with athletes, parents, and staff, and ensuring compliance with IHSAA and district policies. Internal applicants only.

Qualifications

• Idaho Teacher Certification or NFHS/ASEP certified.
• Previous experience as a player and/or coach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with student-athletes and build high participation numbers.
• Cooperate with the administration and keep them informed about program aspects.
• Build a strong coaching staff with defined responsibilities.
• Promote the athletic program and support other coaches.
• Maintain good relations with staff, booster club, parents, and the community.
• Develop a competitive program with strong philosophy and regional/state success.
• Teach and demonstrate skills, game strategy, and sportsmanship.
• Provide supervision for athletes and manage injuries in coordination with the trainer.
• Adhere to IHSAA, district, school, and athletic department policies.
