Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austin, TX is seeking an entry-level Verification Engineer to contribute to verification activities, develop test scenarios, run simulations, and analyze results. You will assist with debugging, maintain test environments, and help improve coverage and verification practices.

You will collaborate with design and methodology teams to clarify requirements, prepare reports, and document findings and next steps.

Qualifications

Recent Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
Hands-on lab work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions is a plus.
Willingness to learn quickly and collaborate across teams.
Strong problem-solving, testing, and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Contribute to verification activities by developing test scenarios, running simulations, and analyzing results under guidance from the team.
Assist with debugging design issues, maintaining test environments, and improving verification coverage.
Work with design and methodology teams to clarify requirements and support issue resolution.
Help prepare reports and documentation that summarize findings, status, and next steps.
Contribute to design quality, technical learning, and continuous improvement of verification practices.
