Job summary

Giant Eagle is seeking an Apprentice Baker to join our Bakery team in Stow, OH. You’ll help create delicious scratch-made products and decorate pastries while delivering friendly guest service to wow customers.

You’ll learn all bakery operations from bench work to cake decorating, with a focus on teamwork, safety, and quality as you grow toward leadership opportunities within the department.

Qualifications

• Experience: 0 to 6 months in bakery or related industry.
• Education: No high school diploma required.
• Physical: Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Age: Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench work according to scratch procedures.
• Bake product and form according to scratch recipes.
• Maintain safety and sanitation as top priority.
• Provide exemplary customer service and assist guests.
• Assist in bakery backroom, cooler and freezer efficiency.
• Record special orders accurately.
