Job summary

Step Up Family Services LLC is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT) to deliver 1:1 ABA therapy under BCBA supervision in home and/or center-based settings. The role focuses on implementing individualized ABA programs for children with ASD and other developmental disabilities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (RBT preferred) and the ability to travel to client locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred in Psychology, Education, or related field.
• RBT certification preferred; if applicable, required within 90 days of employment.
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or centers as needed.
• Must pass background checks, including criminal history and abuse registry screenings.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy under supervising BCBA, following individualized treatment plans.
• Record and maintain data on client progress using electronic data collection systems.
• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors.
• Follow and apply behavior reduction protocols as designed by the BCBA.
• Assist with generalization of skills across environments, people, and settings.
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques per the client’s treatment plan.
• Maintain professional and ethical conduct in accordance with BACB guidelines (if applicable).
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times.
