Job summary

Martin Marietta seeks an Asphalt Weighmaster to accurately weigh, ticket, and document vehicles entering and exiting the asphalt plant. You will ensure DOT compliance, enter data into the ticketing system, and serve as the primary contact for drivers and customers in a fast-paced yard.

You will maintain safety, quality standards, and effective communication with plant operators, dispatch, and customers while managing loads and records daily.

Qualifications

• OSHA compliance and regulations knowledge.
• Proficient in data entry and ticketing systems.
• Understanding of DOT rules for weight limits.
• Experience with traffic management in a yard setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented with safety emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated truck scales and recording software.
• Enter customer data and product codes into the ticketing system.
• Ensure outbound trucks meet state legal weight limits.
• Coordinate with plant operators for correct tonnage and mix.
• Direct truck traffic to loading areas and maintain safety.
• Communicate with scale house, foremen, loaders, and dispatch.
• Report loading discrepancies and resolve ticket issues.
• Handle customer inquiries on availability, pricing, and scheduling.
• Maintain safety training and site orientation for visitors.
